Gerster TechTex offers woven tubular tapes from a variety of materials, including natural fibre yarns such as cotton, wool and flax, synthetic yarns such as polyester, polypropylene, polyamide and Trevira CS®, as well as synthetic yarns based on natural polymers such as viscose and rayon. High-strength yarns such as Dyneema® and aramid, as well as non-combustible materials such as Trevira CS® and engineering plastics such as PTFE, PVDF, PEEK and PPS are also available.
The belts are available in widths of up to 350 mm, which corresponds to a diameter of 220 mm, and can be biaxial or unidirectional be aligned. Various weaves such as plain, twill, satin and panama enable a wide range of structures.
These hose bands protect Pipes and rotationally symmetrical, straight or curved bodies reliably protected against mechanic and thermal stresses. The use of elastic weft materials such as elastane results in flexible, stretchy tubes that adapt perfectly to different geometries. Warp and weft thread densities are customisableto meet specific customer requirements.
