Braided tapes Gerster TechTex products are characterised by a diverse selection of materials that natural fibre yarns such as cotton, wool and flax, as well as synthetic yarns made from polyester, polypropylene, polyamides and Trevira CS®. The range is complemented by synthetic yarns made from natural polymers such as viscose and rayon, as well as by high-strength fibers such as Dyneema® and aramid Non-combustible materials such as Trevira CS® and technical high-performance polymers such as PTFE, PVDF, PEEK and PPS are also available.
The braided ribbons are available as Flat- and Round braids available. Flat braids can be customised up to a width of 20 millimetres, while round braids can reach diameters of up to 25 millimetres. The yarns are aligned unidirectional or +/- 45°. It is also possible to integrate conductive materials such as copper into the mesh.
The advantages of braided tapes include fixed and non-fraying edgeswhich guarantee high manufacturing quality.
