At Gerster TechTex, we manufacture close-to-final-shape lay made of carbon, glass, flax, basalt, aramid and hybrid materials, which can be individually adjusted in widths of up to 100 cm. The fabrics are bidirectional aligned and can free of undulations can be manufactured. In addition, hybrid yarns can be integrated for the production of organic sheets.
These lay-ups are specially designed for processes such as resin transfer moulding (RTM) and vacuum infusion and are characterised by low preform costs which makes them particularly attractive for large-scale applications. The double-sided stable edges ensure safe and precise processing.
Thanks to their high drapability The layouts are ideal for complex, concave and convex component geometries. They are low-waste, reducing cutting effort and lowering process costs. Built-in flow channels facilitate infiltration, especially in multi-layer applications, ensuring optimal material penetration.
