At Gerster TechTex, we develop innovative solutions for modern manufacturing technologies. Our Flow channels (VAP), made from high-quality polyester (PES), are specially designed for use in vacuum infusion process and VAP (Vacuum Assist Product). With widths of 10 mm bis 200 mm, with a standard thickness of 3.7 mm and a self-adhesive option, they are easy to handle and versatile in use – even with complex geometries.
The knitted structure made of monofilament loops creates numerous small flow channels, which even distribution of the resin and stabilise the process. The flat shape ensures that impressions are minimised. Our flow channels are adaptable and allow for branches and intersections, enabling flexible production design. A variant with increased flow rate (HFR) is available for large-area applications and is temperature-resistant up to 180 °C.
Thanks to their easy formability and stable flow front our flow channels support precise resin flow and air removal on both the resin and vacuum sides. They are suitable for efficient large-scale production and minimieren Prozesskosten through simple placement and handling.
