Textile inserts close to the final contour from Gerster TechTex are specifically developed for use in components with complex geometries, offering maximum precision and efficiency. Manufactured from high-quality materials such as carbon, glass, flax, basalt, aramid, or hybrid combinations, the diameter can be individually adjusted between 3 mm and 15 mm. The inserts are laid up to widths of 28 cm and consist of multiple unidirectional or twisted yarns of varying diameters, which are reliably held together by a knitted structure.

Thanks to their close-to-final-contour manufacturing, the textile inserts are ideal as Fillers in edges. They prevent the formation of resin pockets and can be easily integrated into preforms. Their alignment can be unidirectional or twisted which makes them particularly flexible for different requirements.
