Our preforming solutions offer a flexible and economical way to manufacture pre-assembled, Semi-finished textile products close to final shape for the fiber composite sector. Materials such as carbon, glass, flax, basalt, aramid, and hybrid material combinations are used. The pre-assembled textiles can be multilayered up to a thickness of 15 millimeters and in widths of up to 42 centimeters. The fiber orientation can be customized – unidirectional, bidirectional, in 0/90orientation or at an angle of +/- 45 degrees. This creates three-dimensional textiles structuresthat are precisely tailored to the subsequent component geometry.
The individual layers are connected to each other by a stabilizing sewing thread. This enables a low-waste and cost-effective manufacturing in a single step. Shape, structure, and contour of the preforms are developed and sampled in close cooperation with our customers. The finished structures are suitable for further processing in various manufacturing methods such as Resin Transfer Molding, vacuum infusion, or pultrusion.
In addition, we offer Textile inserts close to final shape These consist of several side by side filed unidirectional or twisted lacing in various diameters between three and fifteen millimeters. The cords are distributed over a width of up to 28 centimeters and held in place by a knitted structure. These inserts are particularly suitable as filling material. for edge and corner areas. They enable a uniform resin impregnation and help prevent resin pockets. The near-net-shape design allows for easy integration into existing preforms.
